Kate Luxmoore- Clarinettist and composer, writes for her own ensemble The Kate Luxmoore Group and debuted her album “The Grove” at the Southbank in London in 2008. She also musically directs, composes and arranges for percussionist Lekan Babalola’s Sacred Funk and Yoruba Sonnets projects. ‘Nigerian, Lekan Babalola, is one of the most extraordinary percussionists in world music and jazz today,’-Nick Gold, World Circuit.
Lekan Babalola- having worked with many prestigious artists, Lekan had been awarded 2 Grammys for performances on Ali Farka Toure’s album ‘In the Heart of the Moon’, and the American jazz diva Cassandra Wilson’s album ‘Loverly’. World press has given him rave reviews for his percussive ‘wizardry’ and infectious grooves.
